Blogged.com is a blog discovery and exploration tool supported by a network that connects bloggers with readers — without having to first register. It’s different than existing blog directories such as Bloglines, MyBlogLog, and Technorati as it is powered by readers, similar to the way Yelp is powered by patrons, and also employs a full-time editorial staff to maintain the integrity of the directory.
Blogs are ranked within each category based on the number of votes and reviews.
Since traditional blog search allows users to search for tags or keywords at the blog entry level, Blogged.com focuses on search at the blog site level.
Blogged.com already contains one of the largest user-generated databases of over 200,000 qualified, English language blogs – covering everything from entertainment and tech to politics, fashion and sports.

For each blog, there is a detailed overview page where people can learn more, find related blogs, view recent posts with direct links to full posts and also contribute their own reviews and ratings.
Visitors can browse by categories, sub-categories, or keywords and sort by user rating, popularity, and editor rating, in order to find the blogs that are important to them. Frequent visitors can create a profile dashboard that features additional information about themselves, a listing of their reviews, friends, favorites, shared blogs and comments.

Blogged.com also provides blog readers with a full set of useful tools such as bookmarking and sharing at both the site and post level to customize their experience.
The company is self-funded by partners, Kenneth Yeh and Gladys Kong, who most recently worked together at Snap.com. Kenneth also ran a previous startup, Designer Apparel, which he sold in November 2007 for an undisclosed amount.
