This just in:  Japan Town in San Francisco is going to be the site for an all women panel called “Blogs, New Media, and you.”   It is brought to you courtesy by the ‘Women in Sports and Events.’ With almost forty people verified to show up as per their Facebook meeting page, they are congregating to have a discussion while hopefully, getting the audience to bring friends and participate with new media through community, blogs, and social network for personal and business use. 

There are great sub-topics such as why start a blog as opposed to just a web page and should one connect to the social networks; it promises to have lots of relevant points for the novice and the experienced ‘new media’ participant.  Secondly, they are asking you to come for ‘pure networking’ which is music to my ears because you never know who else you’ll meet.

From what we hear, they also want to encourage attendees to join the Women in Sports and Events organization.  Wise is a non-profit organization.  The event will take place on Monday, March 31st at Hotel Kabuki on Post Street beginning at 6pm and will run a couple of hours.  From my experience though, the events move to the local bar scene for continued networking till the wee hours of the morning.  Not bad for a Monday night in my book.
