As the Web 2.0 conference snatched the headlines in print and on the blogsopher, Web 2point2 brought together a clandestine of internet entrepreneurs who have found greater value in sharing in learning about next-gen strategies for succeeding on the Web – outside of the Web 2.0 conference in San Francisco.

And guess what! They also know how to throw an incredible party.

As a treat for Web2point2 attendees, and any internet entrepreneur with $15, hosts Chris Heuer and Kristie Wells organized a very stylish, and very cool, gig at Fluid in SF.

DJ Anthony provided the beats, and the rest of the ambiance was decorated by an interesting crowd of influentials – enveloped by a low-level, hypnotic, translucent purple luminescence.

Bring the noise.

They splurged for an open bar for two hours…and yet, I wound up spending a ridiculous amount of money on drinks, oh, and more drinks. But, it was a blast, believe me.

Of course conversations drove the night, with a wide variety of party goers engaging in witty banter, playful flirting, obvious flirting, and business networking. There were even patrons catching up on emails and blogs.

There were far too many people to list, but I’ll give it a shout out to those who I can remember…

Tara Anderson, ValleySchwag is always a fun person to see at events. We talked about helping the team over at the Schwag score some new stuff for upcoming deliveries.

Sarah Mayer of the infamous Party Crashers (you know, the crew that was thrown out of the TechCrunch 7 event), was there checking out the scene while promoting her upcoming bash for D7TV.

Adriana Gascoigne of Guba talked about online video, her trip to NY and her upcoming event on 11/30.

Deborah Shultz and Lisa Stone of BlogHer drew quite the crowd.

Stowe Boyd, Joanne Wan, Greg Narain, Megan McCarthy, Alison McNeill, and I shamelessly promoted bub.blicio.us and also recapped Web 2.0 and how much cooler we were than everyone else at the other “2.0″ party.

Scott Beale shared his grand, enticing, and creative vision for the Laughing Squid: Decade 2 party.

Jeremy Pepper was the life of any conversation, as he always calls things like they are.

Daniela Barbosa of Factiva is always good for laughs and interesting dialogue – and for insightful perspective on social media.

Vic Podcaster was there capturing video – of course!

Christian Perry of ZapTix and SFBeta was definitely one of the more popular entertainment hubs throughout the night (see the pictures!)

Khalid Shaikh, YouSendit.com and James Yu, BuzzShout caught up on why Khali has been MIA from all of the events lately.

Dave McClure, oDesk recapped his recent trip to Japan as well as his experience at Web 2.0.

Christopher Carfi, Cerado, is one fun, and very smart, guy! I wish I had a chance to talk with him a bit more.

Lawrence Coburn, Rateitall and Sexy Widget tipped us to the play conference in Berkeley on 11/18.

Cathy Brooks, GuideWire Group, well she’s just an awesome person…
