I thought I’d share the link love today and get to a post I’ve been meaning to write for quite some time. Plus, we all need to take a break from Facebook, or some of us do anyway.

Who remembers Skeptic and his infamous Dead 2.0 aka “Dead Twenty” blog? I know I do, and to be honest, I miss it. It provided a much needed sense of humor and in most cases a voice of reason which was, and is, difficult to hear clearly with all of this noise and frothiness around.

Enter uncov, a site that seemed to come out of nowhere and now seems to be everyone’s favorite new blog.

I’ve been reading uncov since the beginning, and while it’s brash, incorrect, and irrational at times, it slaps you in the face with a hilarious take on startups that you just won’t see anywhere else. And some-to-most of the times, they’re actually spot on, saying the things that we all think, but don’t feel comfortable voicing.

Not surprisingly, some people love it and some people don’t

For example, here’s yesterday’s headline, “InterviewUp Would Ruin Tech Interviews If It Didn’t Suck.”

There’s a new service called InterviewUp that’s a ripoff of Yahoo Answers, focused specifically on job interview questions. I used to do technical interviews, and this thing would be a real pain in my assholes if it weren’t such a laughable failure.

If a site or service sucks, it’s branded as “fail.” Believe it or not, the boys at uncov also have a heart and spotlight those who get it right - giving them an official stamp of “uncov-approved.”

Give it a read, sign up for their feed. It’s a refreshing and funny balance in the signal to noise ratio out there.
