@MLDina Twitter gets only about 3.5m uniques a month, so likely didn’t get enough traffic to qualify. With all the tools (TweetDeck, Twhirl, etc.), you don’t have to visit the site much and “outsiders” don’t pop in to look, like they do on blogger.

I’m actually surprised Blogger is #1, and Twitter isn’t on there at all. While Twitter may not be a typical social networking site, I still think it’s up there with Facebook and Myspace.

I don’t know why Google doesn’t give every person that uses Blogspot there own Orkut profile page it would quickly become the #1 social network.

Orkut will be a verb in 2009

I think Google did a lot to boost Blogger into an easy full featured tool that is attractive to new users. I know WordPress and so forth is probably the favorite of “real bloggers” but I’m not surprised that Blogger is at the top
