Welcome to Shel Israel’s Twitterville

by Brian Solis on August 24, 2009

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Shel Israel’s Twitterville as the Twitterati convened to celebrate the release of his new book, Twitterville.

I took a break from writing my next book and promoting my current book to congratulate Shel personally and also say hello to the peers, friends, and mentors who have and continue to serve as my inspiration.

Tatyana Kanzaveli organized an incredible event at the Hiller Aviation Museum in Redwood City and she deserves recognition for bringing a fantastic set of people together in an exceptional setting. Well done Tatyana!

Congratulations Shel!

I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story…

The TechSet and Windows Mobile hosted very special event at the classic Belmont Lounge on Friday March 13th during SXSW Interactive 2009.

Guests relived the unique and stylish genre that conjured scenes from Las Vegas and Palm Springs during the Sinatra era. We were surrounded by incredible and pioneering entrepreneurs and influencers as we created our own Rat Pack rich with relationships that will propel us long after the curtain closed on SXSW.

In the end, 1,015 guests helped create one of the most exciting after dark events during SXSW.

Stephanie Agresta, the team at Windows Mobile, and I thank you for spending part of your evening with us!

I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story…

SXSW Interactive is powered by the one thing that binds us together, you.  It is a congregation of wisdom, artistry, and poetry and it is the foundation for why we each make this annual migration to Austin, Texas.

This year we lined up something special for SXSW and you helped it reach epic status. The TechSet Blogger Lounge sponsored by Windows Mobile was the hub for collaboration, networking, and celebration each and everyday during the conference.

The agenda was rich with activities, entertainment, tweetups, and resources, but you made it unforgettable, fun, and also productive.

I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story…

Frienderati and The FriendFeed 250

by Brian Solis on July 22, 2008

by Brian Solis

Guy Kawasaki continues to expand his Alltop empire with the addition of Frienderati, an aggregated activity dashboard of the top 100 names and their Friendfeed updates. Similar to Alltop’s Twitterati list, which was designed to help people discover important and active voices on Twitter, Frienderati helps those new to FriendFeed shortcut to the most popular and/or insightful contributors.

Thank you Guy for including me in the list.

Yuval Atzmon over at User21 also created a FriendFeed list. Dubbed the FriendFeed Top 250, it features a list of the most followed personalities on FriendFeed. Yuval is tracking the most discoverable users based on activity and subscribers. His most recent list is based on June 2008 numbers. Thank you Yuval for including me in your list.

The full Frienderati list is included below…I’m working on the HTML to include The Top 250 shortly.
