Tsavo Launches 3 New Lifestyle Blogs

by Michelle Lentz on February 11, 2009

by Michelle Lentz

Digital network Tsavo, creators of Twithority, have launched three new lifestyle blogs. As opposed to acquiring the blogs, they’ve developed these three in-house, each with a specific consumer in mind.  This fits in with Tsavo’s mission, which is to find the right content tailored for a personal experience.

The Manolith blog features gadgets, style and men’s health and is targeted at guys in their mid-20s to mid-40s. Twirlit is geared towards women in the same age range and focuses on celebrity gossip, fashion, food and beauty. Finally, KidGlue is aimed at parents. Last week Tsavo announced it had acquired OpenSourceFood, which has been integrated into its network as NibbleDish. Daymix seems to host the entire network. At Daymix you can also search for a topic and the results are culled not just from the Tsavo network, but Google, Flickr, YouTube, and Delicious. In fact, you can turn your search results into an embeddable widget (see the widget for Fashion below).http://daymix.com/embed/?q=Fashion

Twitority Ranks Tweets By Authority

by Brian Solis on December 28, 2008

by Brian Solis, sourced from PR 2.0

Loic Le Meur asked for it and now we are the beneficiaries of his request. Jon Wheatley and team spent roughly 12 hours creating Twitority, a new service that that facilitates the search and sorting of keywords in Twitter by authority (read: popularity).

Without getting into the minutiae of the debate between popularity versus authority, Twitority is a simple, yet helpful service that will help brand managers, community managers, and communications and customer service professionals tier research and response strategies and programs. It’s also helpful to identify and measure potential opportunities and new trends based on the weighted discussions surrounding relevant topics.

Over the weekend, Sean Percival and Ryan Sit also developed a search engine based on authority popularity, with a twist. Twithority provides side-by-side results ranked by authority and also time/authority.

Read more about it here and give it a test drive here.
