Last night, San Francisco organized the tech community together in an enormous show of support for a local charity. In light of the amazing job the international organization did last year, this year, cities were encouraged to support their own charity – in this case, San Francisco chose to put their weight to promoting Operation Smile, a group dedicated towards helping foster a better livelihood for children by repairing facial deformities like a cleft lip or palate.
Twestival San Francisco was organized by a great team including Krystyl Baldwin and Ian Ryerson and had its logo designed by Jeff Williams. Supported by some great organizations like Zannel, Eye-Fi, Teeny Cake, Virgin America, Fotki.com, Ubergizmo and Justin.TV, Twestival SF was complete with DJ, Photobooth, giveaways, silent auction, and even a custom Twitter-themed drink offered at Horizon Lounge, the venue of choice for this year’s Twestival.
