SXSW 2012: Kick-off Your Austin Experience Right With The Techset Party

It’s almost March and that means that for the tech community, the annual pilgrimage to Austin, Texas is upon many of us. Each year, thousands gather in the Texas capital to attend the South by Southwest Interactive conference (some even stay for music), but it’s basically five non-stop days and nights of learning, networking, and partying! And this year, the festivities kick off once again with the Techset party on Friday, March 9.

Hosted by Techset founders Brian Solis and Stephanie Agresta, this year is promising to be even bigger and better than last year. Make sure you mark it on your calendars to attend the 4th annual Techset party at The Parish from 8-11pm. This is the people’s party…a party catered to help make you feel like the celebrity that you are and to rock out like no one’s watching. Last year’s party at Enzo Austin certainly celebrated this and people definitely rocked out thanks to the amazing performance by Rana June, the world’s only iPad DJ. Who knows what surprises this year will have! But one thing’s for sure, as with all the Techset parties, “dress the part” will definitely be in full effect and get ready to kick off SXSW in style.

TechSet Is Back At BlogWorld And This Time They Brought A Pool To Party

You can’t really go to a major conference in the technology or social media industry without hearing about a really great party. Chances are that they’re usually run by the TechSet folks. You know these people…they’re Brian Solis and Steph Agresta and they’re going to be throwing it down again next week in Las Vegas at the 2010 edition of the BlogWorld & New Media Expo on opening night. As one of the official parties, it’s most likely going to be one of the hottest parties for bloggers, podcasters, social media professionals and friends on the Las Vegas Strip. Do you want to go? Just stop on by…the official fun begins at 8:30pm at the Aria Hotel in one of the coolest locations in the hotel: by the pool.

Yes, that’s right…TechSet has brought the pool back to the BlogWorld parties.

In what will surely go down as a great event, the fun doesn’t stop with the mingling of people and cool music being blasted throughout the night. Word on the street is that there are surprises in store as well, but no one really knows what they are. In any event, make sure you head on down to Aria Hotel on Thursday, October 14 and get ready to have some fun. Who knows, you might be mingling with the blogosphere’s best and brightest like David Armano, Ford’s Scott Monty, Chris Brogan, Mashable’s Brett Petersel and Karen Hartline, Whrrl’s very own Heather Meeker, Hootsuite’s Krystyl Baldwin, Mark Horvath, Vanessa Camones, Network Solutions’ Shashi Bellamkonda, Beth Kanter, Adrants’ Steve Hall, C.C. Chapman, Justin Levy and many more.

If you were at last year’s TechSet party at BlogWorld, you know that when Solis and Agresta throw a party, they go all out. With good beats and great showgirls posing for photos with guests, it was good times to be had by all.

Watch out Vegas – things are about to get bubblicious! Our crew is heading out tomorrow to the Blog World Expo to catch all the excitement.

Our very own Brian Solis is participating in the keynote panel, “The Death and Rebirth of Journalism” along with Jay Rosen, Hugh Hewitt, Don Lemon, and Joanna Drake Earl on the 16th from 9:30-10:30am. He’ll also be moderating another called, “The New Celebrity” with panelists Anthony Edwards and Jermaine Dupri from 9:30-10:30 on the 17th. See full agenda for more details.

Internet Week NY 2009 has come and gone, but its legacy will carry us throughout the coming year until we convene again at IWNY 2010.

PepsiCo and the TechSet were charged with kicking-off Internet Week by bubbling-up innovation and spotlighting global entrepreneurship at the Bubble Lounge on a beautiful New York evening. Dare I say that it was bub.blicio.us?

PepsiCo has been among those companies that truly understand and consistently demonstrate the activity, engagement, and potential for genuine participation and community cultivation.

It’s about people. And, that’s serves as the very foundation for the TechSet.

PepsiCo, along with the TechSet (Stephanie Agresta and yours truly) and a venue filled with new creativity and passion , indeed commemorated the vivacity of imagination and the people who transform ideas into realty – embodying the true essence and spirit of InternetWeek.

The TechSet and Windows Mobile hosted very special event at the classic Belmont Lounge on Friday March 13th during SXSW Interactive 2009.

Guests relived the unique and stylish genre that conjured scenes from Las Vegas and Palm Springs during the Sinatra era. We were surrounded by incredible and pioneering entrepreneurs and influencers as we created our own Rat Pack rich with relationships that will propel us long after the curtain closed on SXSW.

In the end, 1,015 guests helped create one of the most exciting after dark events during SXSW.

SXSW Interactive is powered by the one thing that binds us together, you. It is a congregation of wisdom, artistry, and poetry and it is the foundation for why we each make this annual migration to Austin, Texas.

This year we lined up something special for SXSW and you helped it reach epic status. The TechSet Blogger Lounge sponsored by Windows Mobile was the hub for collaboration, networking, and celebration each and everyday during the conference.
