DdemofallEMOfall is right around the corner, and that means it’s time for startups to start preparing for the madness. In an effort to spur submissions and seek out innovative startups across the country, DEMO’s co-executive producers Chris Shipley and Matt Marshall are going on tour in order to find the best companies to present at DEMOfall this year.

Kicking off on Monday, June 15 at Nola in Palo Alto, Shipley and Marshall will be hosting a series of meetings with entrepreneurs for DEMOfall consideration, as well as organizing impromptu meetups along the way in order to schmooze with the local tech communities. Co-executive producers Shipley and Marshall will be hand-selecting the companies that will present at DEMOfall this coming September.

If you’re not familiar with DEMO, it’s a large conference that premiers new startups, highly innovative technologies, and provides a wealth of exposure and resources to participants. From venture capitalists to potential partners, the 3-day event highlights a select set of startups that represent the best and the brightest in their respective spaces.

The Innovation Tour will go as follows:

June 15: Silicon Valley, CA @ the Silicon Valley Meetup
June 18: San Francisco, CA @ IDG Offices
June 22 & 23: Seattle, WA @ Porter Novelli
June 24 & 25: Santa Monica, CA @ TBD
June 29 & 30: Boston, MA @ IDG Offices
July 1 & 2: Austin, TX @ Porter Novelli

DEMOfall is now officially documented in the history books, but hardly forgotten. Chris Shipley and company orchestrated one of the largest, most polished DEMO conferences to date, leaving my head spinning from the experience – in a good way!

The blog and press coverage surrounding DEMO is deeper and more comprehensive than I have time to attempt to best, so instead, I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

TechCrunch50 and DEMOfall 2008 are set to kickoff and we’re getting ready to witness the official launch of 124 (hopefully) spectacular companies – 52 @TechCrunch50 + 72 @Demo.

If you’re one of the lucky startups, I wrote a post that just ran over at TechCrunch, which will hopefully help you stand out from the crowd.

Good luck and see you next week!
