BrowsePal is similar to ShareThis or AddThis. It differs by offering a portal through which you browse. While I was never big on portals back when they were trendy, this does offer a nifty twist with the Co-Browsing feature.

You can search the web by using their Search feature, which integrates with Google. Maps takes you to Google Maps and Shop is their own co-shopping portal. I searched for a camera and ended up with a “Buy this from Amazon.com” button.

Clicking the Co-Browsing link displays a pop-up that offers three options. Link provides a direct link to provide to your friends. Email lets you send an email with the link directly from the pop-up, and Twitter allows you to tweet the link out to your friends. However, it does require that you provide your user name and password for Twitter.

You can also share your sessions with other users (Pals) that you add. However, that page was pre-populated with some rather long character strings listed as users. I’m not sure with whom I shared my sessions. Now that makes me a little nervous.
