Come learn what works and what doesn’t.

By Miiko Mentz

The Web’s social landscape is scattered with an overwhelming array of social media tools, platforms and communities from Twitter to Facebook, and a whole bunch of lesser known ones intertwined. All these social tools, platforms and communities are great for a variety of reasons, but they are especially important for marketers and anyone interested in navigating the social landmines and building a social media program. If that’s you and you want to learn how to implement an effective social media program then check out BlogWell, where some of the biggest brands out there are coming together for one afternoon to share what they’ve learned, what works and what doesn’t.

On June 23 in San Francisco, BlogWell is bringing together eight brands — Cisco, Dell, General Mills, Intuit, Kaiser Permanente, Pepsi, SAP, and Wells Fargo — that will present case studies on real-world social media campaigns. The companies will share with you how to get started, get past roadblocks and implement a successful social media program.

Social media continues to present some serious challenges for companies, especially large organizations. Help your company avoid some of the pitfalls and challenges by learning practical, how-to advice on creating great content, getting management buy-in, educating employees, keeping lawyers and regulators happy, having simple and ethical disclosure, and engaging fans.

Thanks to the great folks at gaspedal and the Blog Council who produce BlogWell, they are giving our Bubblicious readers a 10% discount. If you’re interested in attending use coupon code: THANKSBUB. Register here.

And they’ve also been kind enough to give Bubblicious a complimentary pass so we can cover the event and report back to you on how these big brands are successfully using social media.

BlogWell is a 1-day conference on April 29 that offers 8 case studies on the best social media programs at several large corporations: Nokia, General Electric, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Turner Broadcasting System, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Tyson Foods, Johnson & Johnson.

Discussions include measuring ROI, managing teams, legal issues, B2B, working with agencies, and creating great content. It’s a great way to jump into social media for your company with how-to advice, a lesson on tricky disclosure issues, a live performance from Rhett & Link, and loads of ideas and examples.

We’ve got registration codes for you, but the event if only $250 to begin with. Use code THANKSBRIAN (I kid you not) and save 10% off registration. The event is April 29 at Chelsea Piers in New York City.

Blogwell is presented by GasPedal and the Blog Council.

I run a charity that’s extremely close to my heart. So whenever I hear of another charity doing something like this, I try to promote it. When Brian sent this to my inbox today, I was thrilled.

GasPedal is presenting the BlogWell conference on October 28 in San Jose. This particular 1-day event really dovetails with what I’m doing here in Cincinnati, so I’m interested. However, I’ll be on a plane on my way home from San Francisco on October 28. Timing is everything. In town? I encourage you to go. There will be several case studies presented on how large companies are using, successfully I would assume, social media.

But that’s not actually the really cool part. The cool part is that they are auctioning off several tickets to BlogWell on eBay. They want to raise a lot (A Lot!!) of money for a good cause and are encouraging folks to bid. Not into bidding big? Just buy a standard $200 ticket. But if you can, go ahead and go and bid big to help out various good causes. Here’s the auction / charity schedule:
