SVASE

Last Thursday, Ms. Anne Donker of SVASE was on hand to introduce Brian Solis for another event at STARTUP-U: SVASE’s Premier Event for startup entrepreneurs at DLA Piper’s offices at 180 Townsend in San Francisco. Many different people came from startups to recruiters and consultants. Gentlemen that represented such startups as Church Time TV and recruiters such as Jon Marcus wanted to get an education on how to launch a PR/marketing campaign on a budget.

Lessons also touched upon were best practices for launching news, the role of blogging, effective techniques for getting an editor’s attention, and other practices to avoid such as launching your product at a conference (not a good idea as Mr. Solis suggested).

SVASE stands for the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs; it is the largest and fastest growing nonprofit association in Northern California dedicated exclusively to helping early stage entrepreneurs across all technology sectors build successful companies.

Events like this one is why SVASE is needed not only in Silicon Valley but elsewhere. SVASE is a model program on how to educate those that are looking for more than the usual grind but don’t know where to start. They bring the best business minds to those that are willing to make that jump into entrepreneurship. They have a ton of events each month throughout the year. For those of you that seek knowledge, SVASE contains the events, the people, and the know-how to assist you.
