Silicon Valley Newtech – April 2007

by Brian Solis on April 8, 2007

I attended the April Silicon Valley Newtech in Palo Alto to see the latest lineup of Web 2.0 companies vying for visibility and validation.

Now at over 1,200 members strong, the monthly presentation event has become a staple in identifying and showcasing the companies and applications that are defining Web, enterprise, and office 2.0. Host, Vinnie Lauria, has cultivated the community vigilantly, extending the SF scene into the Valley.

Podaddies is the video ad network for online video publishers, User Generated Content sites, Social Networks and major podcasters and video bloggers – Nate Pagel, CEO.

LinkSViewer 1.2, a powerful tool that displays information that cannot be found anywhere else, and can be used to gain strategic advances or increased understanding of the networks that surround and affect your world – Bradley Cohen.

Wrike allows you to share plans and work on them together. Enables people to plan their activities collaboratively and get things done. Assign tasks to somebody by simply adding an email to the “CC” field of your email - Andrew Filev.

Diigo is about “Social Annotation”. By combining social bookmarking, clippings, in situ annotation, tagging, full-text search, easy sharing and interactions, Diigo offers a powerful personal tool and a rich social platform for knowledge users, and in the process, turns the entire web into a writable, participatory and interactive media – Wade Ren.
