Myles Weissleder has got a great line up this Wednesday evening. He’s bringing us the latest in online video startups to the forefront for discussion and demonstrations at Dolby labs. With Rafe Needleman of Webware moderating the impending discussions on these stellar video properties, the SF NewTech is definitely the place to check out and hob nob with elusive VC’s.
The five hot startups are all represented by each of their own CXO’s. Let’s start out in alphabetical order. With 18 million hours of video, Blinkx is touted as the world’s largest and most advanced video search engine. Matthew Scheybeler, its chief technology officer, will be showing the patentedd conceptual search, speech recognition, and video analysis software to the lucky attendees.
Mesmo T. V. is the largest social TV application and community on the face book platform. CEO and founder Davin Miyoshii will showcase TV trivia, favorite shows, and what other users are watching on Mesmo.
David Rothschild, CEO and founder of Seero, is putting video on a map, literally. It uses live on demand video with GPS mapping to create its “GEO–broadcasting”.
Always busy executive producer, Cathy Brooks will demonstrate Seesmic which blends the social network, twitter, you tube, and your favorite café. You can see her interview with Adriana Gascoigne from last week at SxSW here about Seesmic in her own words.
YourTrumanShow’s chief operating officer, Matteo Fabiano will showcase the video hosting service that means to tell their users stories in different ways. The sites has also launched a widget called video man that allows its users to map their friends in various social networks and the videos that their friends have uploaded.
