I just read via Leah Culver on Pownce that the new Pownce API is now ready to “create awesome projects, mashups, and hacks.”

According to Culver, the biggest improvement is the ability to post notes. Now developers can alo enable the ability to post messages, links, files, events and even replies via the API. Also now available is the ability to fetch lists of private and friends-only notes.

The Pownce team also added an application directory for developers to showcase their work and for users to find new tools for using Pownce.
Documentation for Pownce API v2.0 can be found here.
