Every now and then a new writer pops in. Today that’s me. I’m Michelle, and I’ll be writing some technology-related posts for bub.blicio.us so that Brian has more time to work on his books.
A quick elevator speech is in order I suppose: I’m a Web 2.0 consultant/trainer. I run Write Technology, where I focus on Web 2.0, as well as instructional design and technical writing. I think Social Media is fun and I’m probably a little too plugged in. Once in Jamaica, after a hurricane, I had panic attacks because I couldn’t get to a computer or a radio or even a newspaper. I run a Wine blog and a business-related blog, plus I have a lot of social media profiles all over the place. I also freelance write in the wine and food area, which is just plain fun.
I’m based in Cincinnati. Writing for bub.blicio.us will be an interesting test of a theory I have. I want to believe that being in a place Mark Twain deemed “20 years behind the times” won’t make a difference due to the power of the Internet. Cincinnati has an amazing and growing group of Social Networkers, brought together by an avid Twitter community. Through Twitter I’ve found several local clients and made some amazing connections.
Enough about me. How about you? If you’ve got some great tech news, perhaps a beta you want to hear more about (and you can get me an invite), or a fantastic gadget you stumbled across – anything new, fun, and Web 2.0 tech – send me the information. Just email me at michelle[at]writetech[dot]net or let me know via Twitter.

Hurray, Michelle!
Let’s hear it for *you* and the growth of the word from Cincinnati!
