Edward Tufte is right. Data visualization is cool.
I was combing through TechCrunch when I found a post on Facebook’s Project Palantir. Project Palantir is a visualization of Facebook actions and connections happening all over the world. The video is a result of Facebook Hackathon event and created by Facebook engineers Jack Lindamood, Kevin Der and Dan Weatherford.

It called to mind TwittEarth – one of my favorite Twitter timewasters. I’m always intrigued to watch people use the TwitEarth application to twitter from all over the world.
