Ohhhh, look who is in the Los-Angeles-Times today! It’s Bub.blicio.us! Hello lovely, you’re getting your due! Can’t you just tell my excitement at a whole new sister-city world discovering the Bub.blicio.us-ness that is us?
This article came about because of Bub.blicio.us, if you can believe it. I was talking to Michelle Quinn who’s based up thar’ in SV and she expressed interest in what was really happening in SoCal. I told her about all the events I’d become involved with the past few months, sent her a list, my first post about SoCal geeks, which she then forwarded, after which I was contacted by the fabulous Alana Semuels (PR people, control yourselves.)
Alana sent me an email, “Is there really a lot happening down here?”
“Yes!” I answered and then invited her to a Lunch 2.0 where I introduced her to a number of movers and shakers. And the rest, as they say…is now in print. And on the Internet. With pictures. Welcome to the new world, people.
So take a read, check it out. Lunch 2.0 gets a plug as does Twiistup and a number of other local events.
I’ve already heard from several of my SoCal peeps and they’re jazzed. They know this is going to bring even more savvy industry folks out of their slumber to join us in all that’s going on.
We look forward to the SoCal/NorCal tech mixers.
Cheers!

LA, tech and parties — who knew? Amazing work here Nicole – looking forward to a few Twiistups (Absolut Mandarin, orange juice, splash of 7-up and grenadine) with you at Twiistup 3 in Jan.
I told you LA is very Bubblicious…
Great job Nicole. Keep on Pimping!
LA is definitely happening. Any event Nicole is involved in is a definite must attend.
Thanks all! Everyone is very excited about the news today. I’ve been getting emails and Facebook messages left and right.
Elmer, you’re biased since you’re fresh off Pubcon with me.
(upcoming post on that soon, btw.)
