It's going to be a continual footrace, with the Twitter app makers trying to stay just a bit ahead of the mothership.

I was really impressed by the speed with which CoTweet and Brizzly incorporated Twitter Lists into their products. First we have Lists so we don't have to actually follow people, now we have a RT function that hamstrings the power of the RT.Ick.

I’m not in the Beta… but after @Critter said that there’s a built in way to “click to not see RTs from this user” I am already unhappy.

Seriously – if they keep “improving” the web functionality, they’ll improve themselves right out of their niche. It will be interesting to see how folks plug into the api and use this and the reputation and influence that could be measured from Twitter lists to create a more meaningful metrics and monitoring platform.I got lists as soon as they released it into beta. Looks like I am waiting on retweets. Great preview. Thanks Brian.

Finally Twitter has started to roll out all these great new features.
