OK, so not really. Well, actually, not even close.

The MTV of the social network scene, Myspace, launched yet another original Web program.

Roommates is a Realworld wannabe, but instead of going for raw, unpredictable behavior, the series decides to script in all of the fun instead.

The show follows the lives of eight beautiful co-eds after they graduate from college, the first four moving to L.A. The interesting thing here is that the 45-episode series will crossover into the Myspace network, allowing the community to help shape its evolution. The girls will also maintain profiles and directly interact with their salivating fans. Well, they are role models too I guess, so they’ll also interact with girls that want to be just like Peyton, Violet, Heather, or Sigourney.

The series will run Monday through Friday until December 21st and promises to engage its viewers with riveting content as only a non-reality series with four young beautiful women, all living together, scripted by the community consisting of mostly adolescent student and older voyeuristic male fans, with L.A. as their playground can.

Here’s a taste of what’s in store. To quote NewTeeVee, “the first episode features one of the girls standing in her underwear scolding her dog, followed by some girl-on-girl farting.”

Brilliant.

If the Emmy’s recognized these online programs, I’m sure we’d have a surefire winner here. I guess we all know where Myspace-star Tila Tequila will end up after her fabulous MTV bi-sexual or bi-curious dating show, “A Shot at Love” ends in the near future…

I heard a spoiler though, so don’t read this if you truly care about surprises and the future of Roommates. OK, last chance…One of the girls gets involved with a church. But, this is no ordinary church. It’s more like a cult. The other girls realize this and they try to save her, but the cult won’t let her go, and, well…you’ll just have to see for yourself.
