This year proves to be the largest San Diego Comic Con known to date.

What is Comic-Con? Its a comic book fan frenzy that happens for 4 days in San Diego, California. While there are others that take place around the world, San Diego’s Comic-Con is the second largest in the world. It sells out months in advance, and has an all start line up of product demonstrations, celebrity panels, tv and movie previews, and more!

Comic-Con is also the home to the Eisner Awards. One of the best awards you can receive as a comic artist/writer.

In 2007, Comic-Con hit a record high of 127,000 attendees. It looks like this year is going to be no exception.

While it was sold out in February (5 months in advance), there have been tickets for sale on Ebay going for over $500.00 for 2 4 day passes that originally cost no more than $100 each in advance.

Because of the large crowds, there have been rumors that Comic Con has out grown itself for San Diego, and may be up for a location change to Anaheim or LA. This has caused an uproar for bloggers, twitterers and attendees who have been going to the same location since the very beginning.

Although, moving to Anaheim might be great for a change of scenery (it is home to Disneyland after-all), not everyone is happy about these options. But they are being considered for the future.

This year’s Comic-Con line up includes Sergio Aragonés (Cartoonist, MAD Magazine), Felicia Day (Actor/Writer, The Guild), Jenette Kahn
(President/editor-in-chief, DC Comics, 1976-1993), and many more!
