Julia Allison, Gone But Not Forgotten

by Brian Solis on August 1, 2007

We met her at TechCrunch9.

We were graced by her presence at the TC9 after party.

She made new friends at Laughing Squid’s Paradise Lost.

According to Valleywag, New York-based Julia Allison, Time Out New York dating columnist, Star editor-at-large (making $100k per year), and entertainment pundit, has left Silicon Valley for a sunnier, stylish, and more nightlife-rich retreat in Los Angeles before heading back to the East Coast.

We are all in awe, and quite honestly left scratching our heads, over how someone, in such a short period of time, could make an incredibly controversial impact – with an entire community breathing a sigh of relief at her departure.

Hey, at least she was nice, and even helpful to us.

Okay, I admire her balls, but her antics did not make me think she was representative of women. I can still wear a sexy dress and stay intelligent, elegant and charming. I just wanted to tell her, honey you don’t need to strut ur stuff, mystery and elegance works better. think Maid in Manhatten. Maid in Silicon Valley…its a shame
