Weather forecast calls for rain all weekend in the Bay Area and you know what? I’m Ok with that! It’s November, it’s fall.  There are holiday commercials on TV and aisles in Target and Big Lots stocked with plastic trees, garland and twinkling lights. I guess the rain just adds to the official transition into the holiday season, gulp.

With the rain comes rain gear and essentials all of us have, or are forced to buy at Walgreens when we stupidly forget our umbrella at home. We need to waterproof our favorite shoes, weatherproof that jacket and make sure your umbrella is in tip – top shape for the approaching storm.

There’s no need however, to accompany gloomy weather with dreary weatherproof outerwear. I wanted to send you off into the weekend with ideas to make this Saturday and Sunday a bit brighter with some fun accessories. Ignore that gray sky and those rain drops. Put on a happy face, a bright raincoat, cheerful rain boots and quirky umbrella!
