I Invented Facebook

OK, so as each week passes we learn of someone else who alleges that they invented Facebook.  And if you attend enough Web 2.0 parties and events, you’ll find no less than 20 other entrepreneurs who claim to have thought of the idea as well.

After speaking to Daya Baran of Webguild, Jeffrey McManus of Approver, and Zoli Erdos, we decided that someone needs to get to the bottom of this ordeal and find out who really invented Facebook.com.

We’re going to introduce IinventedFacebook.com (thanks Zoli for the idea) which will publish individual accounts of how they invented the popular social network and let you be the judge of who really is behind the idea.

Send your stories (with pictures if you’d like) to dontpop at gmail dot com and we’ll start publishing your accounts when we launch  the new site.

I will be including my account for when I came up with the idea and was overheard talking about it by a friend of a girlfriend who was dating someone who was the cousin of the person who went to class with Mark Zuckerberg – I’m still very upset.

Tell us your story.
