I hate it when I’m behind. Apparently iTweet has been around a while, and 2.0 was released back in the fall. So I’m late, but I’m glad I found it.

iTweet is an alternative web interface for Twitter. It’s just easier to use than Twitter’s own interface. It provides all sorts of options, including
- Built-in auto-refresh, search and linked hashtags
- Full follow, block, and notifications features
- View user bio, location, URL inline with tweets
- Watch conversations with “in reply to” links
I particularly like the built-in Twitter search function that you can use to search in different ways.

There is also a corresponding iPhone application, but it’s web-based. I’ll cross my fingers that developer Colby Palmer has time to create a downloadable iPhone application in the future. I can only imagine it would rock.
