Gnomedex 7 kicked off last night, well the party did any way, and let’s just say that things got very bub.blicio.us in Seattle.
If you’re a blogger, this is where you want to be. This is after all, the bloggers conference.

It’s amazing at how many people turned up from all over the blogosphere just to participate. Host, Chris Pirillo has truly created something amazing and it only seems to be getting bigger, and more of a prominent force in the ever-expanding list of annual conferences.

The place was packed with some of the most prominent players and it was virtually impossible to meet or say hi to everyone – although I did try!
One of the most interesting quotes uttered last night was, “We have a bet. We think that this year 50% of the people are first-timers!”
I would have to agree. It was obvious. And if we looked at 100% of the people there, maybe only 90% were paying attendees. At least 10% crashed the party last night, and had no trouble doing so.
However, back to the quote. I think overall, its representative of the exponential growth in the blogosphere in general. Gnomedex is an important event. The conversation are real and mind blowing. The top minds are here and they’re talking. If you truly are a participant in the greater community and dialog for media evolution, then at the moment, there’s no other place to be.
