I know it’s a little late on a Friday for this, but I just ran across the announcement. AdSense will begin rolling out for RSS Feeds, via Feedburner.
I’ve always thought this was a good idea. I haven’t been all that successful at monetizing my wine blog in part because most of my readers come through feeds. A large percentage of my users also use Firefox. Since I use AdBlock, I bet they do too. But for my feed subscribers, there hasn’t been an effective way to bring relevant advertising to them.
All it seems to require is an AdSense account configured for placement targeting and, I would assume, a FeedBurner account (but maybe not). They are doing a soft launch, rolling out to a small group of publishers before a full launch to all AdSense and Feedburner subscribers.
