You know you’re at Adtech and not a Web 2.0 party when: 1) There are more girls than guys 2) The entire crowd is dressed to impress 3) No one knows who you are 4) In one hotel, you have four different parties going on simultaneously.
That would be the case on Tuesday when at the W, Yahoo, DoubleClick, and others threw a massive series of parties which spilled into the stairwell, down to the lobby, and out to 3rd and Howard. Crazy.
I popped in for a few after a day of meetings at the W and was instantly overwhelmed, as if a wave of beautiful people suddenly crashed over me.
Similar to last year, DoubleClick dolled out name tags featuring different graphical patterns. Your mission for the even was to try to get a drink and also try to find a matching badge. Your reward since you probably weren’t able to get a drink, was a cocktail shaker if you pulled your new found buddy out to the front to claim your prize.
