Fashion 2.0 is not only showing fashion fanatics the inside world of designers and the clothing construction process through YouTube, Facebook and other social media outlets, it’s now allowing every day consumers to be designers, from fabric to color to button selection.

Starting a label takes a tremendous amount of time, energy and talent that most of us don’t have. But while out shopping, we can always critique this shirt or that one thinking things like, “if only it was this color with no pockets” or “too bad it’s not striped to go with those pants.”

The days of wishing a shirt was this way or that way are over. With services like Blank Label, which connects the consumer directly to their in house suppliers, people can now design and co-create their own wardrobes exactly as they want them.

Blank Label’s first product lets fashion conscious men design dress shirts and personalize them in solid or striped fabrics and colors, with various styling options including collars, cuffs, shoulders, pockets and more. Mix and match the shirt with extra buttons, a personalized monogram or label and even split your shirt in half with two different fabrics or colors sewn together. The options are endless and the design is at your fingertips to create.

Blank Label’s dream is to change the way the world consumes and to let all consumers have a say in the design process of what they wear. For any man who cares about his wardrobe and has a few extra dollars to put towards it, this is a fantastic idea and well worth the extra pennies.

That is indeed a good concept. I don’t have the skill of designing stuff myself but that seem like a good way to get some practice eh? It’s also nice to have a little something to brag about like .. “Hey, I designed this myself.”

Nice one. I’ll probably try Blank Label.
