Slydial is one of those services that lets you skip a conversation and send your message straight to voice mail. It’s sad but true. We all have moments when we would just rather go to voice mail.
Apparently “hundreds of thousands” of Slydial users have come up with a multitude of reasons to avoid actual conversations. As a result, Slydial is now asking, How sly are you? They’re looking for ways in which you use Slydial. By submitting your Slydial video to the contest you could win $3,000. Slydial will also award a $500 prize to the winner of each of 5 sub-categories. Winners will be announced on January 5, 2009. Here’s a sample video, followed by the rules and such:

Rules:
1. Go to http://www.slydial.com and join MYslydial. (This is a requirement, so this way you know about the slydial service and we know who you are when you submit the video.)
2. Become a member of YouTube (if you aren’t already) and join this group.
3. Upload a video up to 90 seconds in length to the group. You must include “slydial” in the title of your video.
4. Submissions will be accepted no later than 5pm EST on Tuesday, December 9, 2008.
5. The Overall Grand Prize winner will receive a $3,000 Cash Prize. Each Category Winner will receive a $500 Cash Prize. (A video can not win more than one prize.) Winning videos will also be featured on the slydial website.
6. Winning videos will be announced on Monday, January 5, 2009.Categories will be:
• Most Viewed
• Most Creative/Unique
• Best slydial Use- Short on Time
• Best slydial Use- Avoid an Awkward Convo.
• Best slydial Use- When a Text Message Just Wont Cut ItThe overall Grand Prize winner and each category winner (except for Most Viewed) will be determined by slydial.
Good things to know:
• You can submit as many videos as you want.
• It may take up to 2 Business Days for your video to be approved and posted on this slydial Video contest group.
• We will not approve any videos that have any inappropriate images or language (so keep it clean).
