What emerging social media application or trend will have the biggest impact on mainstream society?

We got some fantastic answers and it really was hard to just pick two.

Congratulations to Mary Anne and to Howard, who each won one ticket to GSP East in Washington, DC, next week.

Mary Anne posted on how our communication techniques are changing with social media. Not only are we becoming more open as a society, we are also becoming more tolerant. Howard posted on the changes social media is bringing to the world of non-profits and fundrasing, including more “green” technology initiatives .
