Brian has been named to the San Jose Business Journal’s Silicon Valley 40 Under 40!

Through blogs, books, clubs and his own company, Brian Solis functions at the cutting edge of social media. The founder of FutureWorks in 1999, Solis runs the new media public relations agency that combines traditional aspects with the emerging landscape of social media.

With Geoff Livingston, he co-wrote Now Is Gone, which was awarded silver in Axiom’s 2008 Business Book Awards. He has published several e-books, and he is writing two books due for publication this year.

Solis is a co-founder of The Social Media Club and The Society of New Communications Research and a  member of Media 2.0 Workgroup. He also runs two blogs, PR2.0 and Bub.blicio.us, which deal with the convergence of traditional and social media and the social economy behind the new Web.
