Cogi was created to solve a problem everyone shares – how to remember and act upon the important points that flow from every conversation. With its service, Cogi gives users a way to effortlessly recall and track important conversations through the use of a web-based experience that seamlessly transcribes the important parts of conversations – the ‘COGent Ideas’ or Cogi. Cogi allows you to forget about note-taking and become more active in the conversation. The service provides accurate, timely and secure audio recordings and text transcripts of conversations, conducted on the phone or in person.

Cogi: Cogi’s founders spent a significant amount of time on the phone and in meetings. Trying to capture the most important parts of their conversations, tracking action items, and remembering who said what and when was an ongoing struggle. With details coming at many business people at an ever accelerating pace, it’s no wonder that the content of conversations is forgotten by the end of most calls. Simply writing down notes felt like an inefficient, unreliable method for staying on top of projects, and the time consuming process of summarizing a conversation in an email can lead to leaving out important points or misinterpretation.

Seeing the universality of their own problems, Cogi’s founders set out to create an automated way to capture and track their conversations, to take verbatim notes at the push of a button, and create an email-like system that allows users to easily share conversations with any coworker. Cogi was born to help busy professionals hang onto their ‘COGent Ideas’ or Cogi, enabling them to be more productive, accurate and save time. They can replay the entire conversation, listen to the highlighted portions, or read the transcript of those highlighted moments – as if they were there with you in the conversation. Nothing gets lost in translation.

Cogi: Proprietary. Simply put, current fully-automated, computer-based speech recognition systems simply can’t provide satisfactory transcription accuracy (especially in circumstances with multiple speakers or background noise) – that’s why we use our patent-pending combination of speech-to-text technology, advanced speech processing, and when necessary, human assistance to ensure transcription quality. To ensure privacy, our patent pending-process breaks all conversations into small, anonymous segments, maximizing conversational confidentiality.

Cogi will be showing off at Twiistup 5 on February 12, 3008. This showcase will be one of a series that will focus on each Showoff. Cogi is currently offering new users a 30 day free trial of the Cogi service. Cogi is available at www.cogi.com
