When a bank and a social network join forces to raise awareness and inspire hope across the nation, big things can happen. Chase Bank is utilizing a Facebook application named Chase Community Giving. Chase is relying on the power of Facebook’s social capacity in order to find various charities to receive its $5 million donation pool. Requesting individuals across America to submit their local charities for consideration, Facebook is able to quickly and immediately access the individuals Chase needs.
Enter your local charity by name, or search local charities by zip code. If the charity you are looking for isn’t listed, you can submit a letter to the Chase foundation in order to inform them of your recommendation.
The search results will appear on a map, with red markers for each available location. Click on one of these red markers and you will see a bubble with the name and address of that particular location. If you click on the provided link for that location, you will then be asked to add the Chase Community Giving application to your profile.
Once the application is added, you can vote for that community charity if you decide to. You can see some of the recent voters, as well as recently voted charities. Learn a little bit more about that charity by contacting them, as their information including address and phone number are available on this detail page.
Don’t worry about stressing over having to choose just one charity to be considered for Chase’s $5 million donation pool. You receive 20 votes to spread around, ensuring that many of the causes in which you feel strongly about can be represented by your votes.
And if 20 votes is still not enough, you can simply promote any charity across the social web. Buttons for sharing on Twitter, your Facebook wall, or a Facebook friend. Sharing with Twitter will spread the message of your charitable support and virtual nomination in a very public manner, redirecting any of those interested to the Chase Community Giving application.
On a more internal level, sharing about a charity on your Facebook wall share it with those friends you have on Facebook. This kind of sharing is effective on another level, giving an intimate option which may better encourage others to click through and add the Chase app. For an even more private method of sharing, you can send a charity recommendation directly to another Facebook friend. This is the most personal type of encouragement one can use on a social networking basis, as it directly extends an invitation to consider a friend’s suggestion.
Chase has been one of the more socially active corporate brands. When it comes to online social networking and media, Chase has taken several initiatives to provide value to its customers by being accessible across the web. Be sure to check the Chase Community Giving Application. Spread the word about this post and the app itself, along with any charities you find worthy!

We have a local zoo that is a gem. Our 200,000 budget cuts have greatly impacted our Zoo. The Miller Park Zoological Society, contributes all money to the Zoo. Please note Zoo’s are not entiled to any Stimulus Money.
Please consider us for a Charitable giving. Thank you

I would like to add this crisis center to the charity foundation. The name is Capernaum Ministries Crisis Center. Their mission is to provide the necessary services for each individual in a crisis situation, stemming from homelessness to domestic violence. This would include the poor, the brokenhearted, as well as the oppressed. Their goal will be accomplished by addressing the needs of each family member from finances to mental health, through temporary to permanent housing, training, as well as providing the necessary resources to move families from crisis to stability.

$5 million? Really? Whoa, Chase, don’t overextend yourself now, there may not be enough left to give one bonus to an ineffective CEO!

We are a local independent church with outreach ministries that address the needs of low to moderate income youth in the Brunswick County area. We do not receive any government assistance and our ministries consist of meals, clothing assistance, school supplies, and christmas for the children. In addition, we have an outreach ministry for the elderly and disabled; in this ministry we provide outreach gifts such as fruit, socks, and any other expressed need. We have a food closet that is stocked by our members; we would like to do more and continue what we are doing, please consider us – Gloryland Baptist Church of Cape Fear NC, Inc., 152 Main St. Belville NC 28451.

Why was I put on hold for 2 hours and continue to wait when asking to speak to the department that works with people having hardships?
