Comic-Con 2010 has just wrapped up in San Diego, CA and much of the buzz coming out of the four day conference covered everything from a new Tron Legacy trailer, new cast members for the Avengers, sneak peak at Scott Pilgrim vs. The World film screenings, rumors of Daft Punk performing live, and even how a Harry Potter fan stabbed someone in the eye with a pen over a seat in Hall H. Nonetheless, Comic-Con exceeded the expectations of many and most are looking forward to next years! Don’t forget to buy your tickets early before they are sold-out!

If you attended Comic-Con, what were your favorite highlights of the trip?

eBay is one of my top go-to places for browsing random used and cheap finds or rare vintage pieces.  It’s the same experience as a thrift store really – you can’t go into it having one specific item in mind that you want, because you’ll check out with 3 other completely different things you don’t need. Your mind has to be open to discovering new pieces that will go with the black blazer or perfect jeans that you already own.

This week, however, eBay wants to change how we use the online auction company for fashion use. They’ve opened a vault – The Fashion Vault – that is teaming up with fashion retailers to offer designer clothes at a fraction of the retail price! Now we can find those rare old-school steals and pair them with new designer frocks.

The new site will be similar to other online shopping sites like Gilt Groupe in that it will hold “flash” sales lasting from 48 to 72 hours. Instead of bidding on an item like we’re used to on eBay, shoppers will just use the Buy Now option to grab the sale of the moment. Ebay will negotiate directly with the designer brands to have the best markdowns for listings so shoppers get the best deal possible! Not too shabby!

The launch of The Fashion Vault brings shoppers up to 60 percent off some amazing French Connection pieces through today. Next up to 60 perfect off Romeo & Juliet Couture on April 5th and then up to 60 percent off Escada starting April 12th!! Drool much???

Happy Shopping!!
