I had the pleasure of working with Alyssa Rapp, founder and CEO of Bottlenotes during the wine selection process for the STIRR Holiday Soiree last year.
Bottlenotes is a specialized wine store, club, and experience that focuses on boutique and estate wines from around the world, matched to your personal taste.
They’re just launched a new Facebook applications and a very cool contest to go along with it.
Install Bottlenotes’ Facebook application, complete a Personal Taste Profile and start comparing your favorite wines and your taste in wine to those of your friends.
For each person who becomes your Bottlenotes “Friend” by installing the application, between now and March 29th, you’ll get 10 points. For each wine that you add to your cellar with a tasting note or rating, you’ll get 5 points. Facebook users who have installed the application and accrued the most points by March 29th will have a shot at some very attractive and worthwhile prizes. You better have a strong social graph however, the minimum to play the game is to have at least 100 friends join.
Grand Prize
Two days of private wine tastings and accomodations for two in the Napa Valley!
Second Prize
$1000 worth of fabulous boutique wines from Bottlenotes, customized to your personal taste.
Third Prize
A three-month membership in the Explorers Wine Club by Bottlenotes.
In honor of the competition, I’ll share with you some of my random wine photography. Note this is not related to the wines I’ve shot professionally for some killer wineries…
