I didn’t attend Saturday’s sessions because Maryam and I were at a birthing class having our own educational experience. When I arrived tons of people told me I had missed the best BarCamp ever. That’s saying something because there’s been more than 200 BarCamps all over the world and it all started here. Read Brian Solis’ account to see just how special it is. He writes “The second anniversary of Barcamp was nothing short of extraordinary.” [...]

[...] If you are missing the BarCampBlock that’s going on now you really are missing something special. I think the more UnConferences that people attend the more powerful they become. I noticed in the one session I attended (I was busy interacting outside of the sessions for most of the time) people still didn't quite have the gumption to step up and make the talk what they wanted. The more comfortable people become with knowing what they want and vocalizing it, I think the more powerful these types of events become. With that said our session immediately passed around a sign-up sheet for people to put down their name/email so that we could connect afterwards as well. So far 8 of the 20-25 people who were invited to the Crowdvine group have signed up so I'm guessing that most were really spectators, which is one reason why the discussion was scattered. I'm still wandering the Crowdvine site, but it's not very clear how I can communicate with everyone. In any case it was good seeing you, and about that thing we discussed - I'm on board. Let's lead this thing.

Good write-up of a very interesting day. I think the more UnConferences that people attend the more powerful they become.
