Last Friday, Greg Narain of Social Roots and I hosted the first Web two dot oh Bubble-Free Bar Crawl in SF. Think of it has Barcrawl 2.0 – same intentions as traditional bar crawl, but with the people behind everything Web 2.0.

What is it you ask?

The Bubble Free Barcrawl is a celebration of our sacrifice – and we hope to make this a regular binge. The event was created for everyone toiling late at night to launch their own startup to bring out the next online social application, network, or bub.blicio.us blog, whether or not they’re acquired by Yahoo or Google. Most importantly, it’s a time for everyone to bring all those who are supporting them out for a good time, while also having the opportunity to network (and drink) with like-minded peers.

As the Web 2.0 conference snatched the headlines in print and on the blogsopher, Web 2point2 brought together a clandestine of internet entrepreneurs who have found greater value in sharing in learning about next-gen strategies for succeeding on the Web – outside of the Web 2.0 conference in San Francisco.

And guess what! They also know how to throw an incredible party.

As a treat for Web2point2 attendees, and any internet entrepreneur with $15, hosts Chris Heuer and Kristie Wells organized a very stylish, and very cool, gig at Fluid in SF.
