If you’re like us, we had the get the iphone to be one of the first to enjoy the new, ground-breaking device. But, we were surprised by the lack of basic features standard in many other smart phones.
Personally, I’d love to see cut-and-paste, file saving and directories, video, select text, and tilt features in other applications outside of Safari. Perhaps hoping for Exhange support via Activesync couldn’t be too much to add to the list as well…
Word is that many of the features, and others, are on the way.
An Apple rep recently told Pocket-lint, “All the complaints and feature requests we’ve had can be fixed and added by software upgrades.”
There’s no doubt the internal Apple resources were spread thin working on the official release of the iPhone while also trying to prep Leopard for its already-pushed-back ship date.

In both cases, one could argue that neither were fully baked with then left the warehouses, but instead, would receive dedicated attention to complete many of the features, for both products, after satisfying initial demand.
I look forward to updates for my iPhone and definitely Leopard. I just wish there was something that we could do with AT&T’s prehistoric Edge network.
